Freight center provides a full range of services including the Import and Export of Cargo, Inter Airport trucking, Customs Clearance, free parking spaces for large trailers and Cold Storage facilities with Freezer & Chiller Capacity of 36CBM each for Loose Cargo. We also accept Diplomatic Cargo, Valuable Cargo and Dangerous Goods shipments. Emirates Sky Cargo, Aramex, FEDEX and DHL through an integrated air and land network provide their services from this facility.

Ras Al Khaimah  International Airport is well known for elaborate and meticulous care in all its air cargo-related dealings. In this undertaking, the Airport follows strict procedures of Import and Export to maximize speed and efficiency and minimize risks and inconvenience.

For the Export of Freight out of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, the following procedure has to be followed by the Shipper

  • The consignee or his authorized agent should obtain Importer Code and Customs Clearance ID Card from Ras Al Khaimah Customs Main Office before initiating any Import activity
  • Fill in the Shipper's Letter of Instruction (This will be provided by the export office)
  • Complete the Customs formalities (either by himself OR through an authorized Freight-Forwarding / Clearing agent).
  • Provide a copy of the invoice to prove the cost of the material to the customs department.
  • The Air way bill will be with the Handling agent (either RAK International Airport or the authorized agent).

Other Requirements

  • General Cargo: Invoice, Packing List.
  • Perishable Cargo: Certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture.
  • Valuable Cargo: Invoice and Insurance policy if any.
  • Unaccompanied Baggage: Passport Copy, Declaration of Value.
  • Human Remains: Death Certificate, Embalming Certificate, Police Clearance, Clearance from Consulate/Embassy, cancelled passport of the deceased. Local Police clearance, Ticket details of accompanying person.

To Clear an Import Freight from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, the following procedure has to be followed

  • The consignee can Customs clear the shipment himself or through an authorized agent.
  • The consignee or his authorized agent should obtain Importer Code and Customs Clearance ID Card from Ras Al Khaimah Customs Main Office before initiating any Import activity
  • General Cargo: Original Invoice, Packing List and the Certificate of Origin are required by the Customs Department. For Perishable Cargo, Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Original Invoice & Packing List.

The following types of cargo cannot be accepted or Customs cleared without special documentation.

  • Arms and Ammunition
  • Radioactive Materials
  • Foodstuffs
  • Live animals
  • Plants and Plant Products
  • Human Remains
